Quality and Ethics overview

Quality and Ethics Subcommittee (QES) is one of six subcommittees consisted of the QES Manager from the University of Split, experts in quality assurance and ethics of each one of the remaining SEA-EU universities (at least 1 representative per partner) and four external experts. Students belonging to ESN are also assisting to QES in quality monitoring of the project.

QES oversee that project execution takes place in accordance with the plan, and signalize important deviations in terms of results, quality, timing and resources spent. QES also work for implementing and managing the ethical and legal issues of all procedures in the project, ensuring that the guiding principles and the main procedures regarding privacy, data protection, security, legal issues and ethical challenges will be followed. QES works on recommendations based on active analysis of the current state of play regarding academic recognition, qualifications, responsible research and innovation, research integrity, ethical reviews, quality of programmes, etc.

The Quality and Ethics Manager is leading the Quality and Ethics Subcommittee (QES) that defines the rules and basic support for the cooperation between the partners and establish procedures for documentation, quality control, management decision schemes and control procedures. The QES is in charge of developing a SEA-EU Quality Manual to a level where it can be approved by all partners.  The QES is also in charge to develop a SEA-EU’s Ethics and Privacy Protection Manual, where the guiding principles and the main procedures regarding privacy, data protection, security, legal issues and ethical challenges are included.
