Networking for Tomorrow (SEA-EU DOC IO3)
Networking for Tomorrow
Intellectual Output 3
If managed well, alumni networks can become a strategic tool as enablers of opportunities. They promote collaboration on different levels. Networks give a chance to alumni to build and maintain lasting relationships with their peers. It also fosters a sense of belonging to the community and facilitates the flow of information with the Alma Mater.
These channels of information can disseminate internship opportunities for students and jobs for doctorate holders. Furthermore, they can provide valuable insights for doctoral staff. As there is no specialised network of marine sciences alumni, we propose to create one building on the synergies of the SEA-EU DOC project. All information about this platform will be transmitted through a dedicated channel.

Main Objectives
Transferability
The project’s results can be replicated and transferred to other doctorate fields and other study levels. The calculated impact measurement can also serve as a benchmark for similar initiatives. Beyond this intellectual output, the network of marine sciences doctorate holders can also be used as a basis for further research and analysis.
This intellectual output focuses on:
– Creating a community of European marine sciences doctorate holders to facilitate career development collaboration;
– Establishing an innovative network that strengthens professional communication and enhances knowledge exchange;
– Increasing university support to doctoral students, alumni and other relevant stakeholders.
Target Groups
Doctoral Students
